When to File for TPS

In order for you to maintain TPS status, you must re-register during the 60-day re-registration period that runs from January 9, 2012, through March 12, 2012. We encourage you to register as soon as possible within the 60-day re-registration period. Although the Federal Register notice erroneously states that re-registration applications must be filed January 9, 2012 through March 9, 2012, USCIS will accept applications filed January 9, 2012 through March 12, 2012.

Go to the TPS Landing Page for information about what you need to file to re-register.

If you have never been granted TPS, you may be eligible to file late. Go to the ‘Late Initial Filing’ Section on the TPS landing page  for more information.
