VIPS to VIPS Email Listserv
The field of law enforcement volunteer management has grown significantly over the past 10 years and with it so has the knowledge and experience base of local VIPS Program Coordinators. The VIPS to VIPS Listserv is a moderated email discussion group for law enforcement volunteer program leaders to share information and ideas and provide peer-to-peer mentoring. Today, nearly 1,000 law enforcement volunteer coordinators participate. Registered program contacts can sign up by editing their program page or you can email info@policevolunteers.org.

The goal of the VIPS Program is to enhance the capacity of state and local law enforcement to utilize volunteers. On this website, volunteer managers can find a variety of volunteer management tools and citizens who wish to volunteer their time and skills with a law enforcement agency can find information about how to get started.
The VIPS Program is managed by the International Association of Chiefs of Police with financial support from the Bureau of Justice Assistance.

The National Sheriff's Association is now accepting applications for the 10th Annual National Neighborhood Watch Awards of Excellence. All law enforcement agencies, Neighborhood Watch groups, organizations, and/or programs that have made an exceptional contribution to the Neighborhood Watch program in their communities are encouraged to submit nominations. The deadline is March 31, 2013.
