Agency Registration

To register your agency with COPS, you must have the following information:

  • Originating Agency Identifier

    This number is assigned by the FBI and is your agency's identifier. The first two letters are your state abbreviation, the next three numbers are your county's code, and the final two numbers identify your jurisdiction within your county. If you do not know your agency's ORI, you may request it via the link below:

  • Agency Information

    Including legal name, agency type, government entity and contact information.

  • Agency Administrator

    The email address of the person who will be administrator for this account.  Once your registration is approved, this person will receive an email with further instructions on how to login to the Agency Portal.  The agency administrator will be in charge of creating accounts in Agency Portal for other users in your agency and determining which sections of the system these users have access to.
