The Palm OS (Operating System) program for application of the 4th Report on the Diagnosis, Evaluation, and Treatment of High Blood Pressure in Children and Adolescents is now available.

This interactive guideline tool will assist the clinician in implementing the 4th Report on the Diagnosis, Evaluation, and Treatment of High Blood Pressure in Children and Adolescents at the point of care.

Instructions for installing the Clinical Reference Application Program your Palm OS device:

1. Download the file "PedsHTN_Install_V11.prc" to your computer.
   
   
2. After PedsHTN_Install_V11.prc is saved on your computer, use the Palm desktop software to HotSync the file to your Palm OS device.
   
   
3. Then, tap the PedsHTN icon on your Palm OS to start the program.

Instructions for installing the PedsHTN Program your PocketPC 2003 device:

Install PedsHTN for PocketPC 2003 only onto devices running PocketPC2003 or 2003SE (also known as Windows Mobile 2003/2003SE)! Do not install PedsHTN for PocketPC 2003 onto devices running other versions of PocketPC (e.g., PocketPC 2002, Windows CE). Doing so can cause loss of all data on the device. If you are unsure which version of PocketPC your device is running, check the documentation that came with the device or contact the manufacturer.

1. We strongly recommend that you back up your PocketPC device before downloading and installing these (or any) new files.
   
   
2. Download the file "PedsHTN_PocketPC2003.zip" to your computer.
   
   
3. After downloading the PedsHTN_PocketPC2003.zip file and saving it to your hard drive, double-click to unzip the file and save it to your hard drive.
   • A file named PedsHTN_Install_PocketPC2003.exe will be included in the zip file.
   
   
4. After PedsHTN_Install_PocketPC2003.exe is saved to your computer, double click the file to begin the installation. A PocketPC 2003 device must be connected to your computer via ActiveSync.
   
   
5. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the installation.
   
   
6. After installation is complete, click the PedsHTN icon on your PocketPC 2003 device to run the program.

Instructions for installing the PedsHTN Program your PocketPC 2002 device:

Install PedsHTN for PocketPC 2002 only onto devices running PocketPC 2002! Do not install PedsHTN for PocketPC 2002 onto devices running other versions of PocketPC (e.g., PocketPC 2003, Windows CE). Doing so can cause loss of all data on the device. If you are unsure which version of PocketPC your device is running, check the documentation that came with the device or contact the manufacturer.

5. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the installation.
   
   
6. After installation is complete, click the PedsHTN icon on your PocketPC 2002 device to run the program.
