Immigration & Customs Enforcement Deportation Integrated (ICE D)

This training program replaces the Immigration Officer Basic Training Course (IOBTC). Through this program, new Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Immigration Enforcement Agents (IEA) receive training in basic law enforcement subjects, including: Immigration and Naturalization laws; Detention Procedures; Fingerprinting; Detection and Discovery of Contraband; Interviewing; Cross-Cultural Communications; Defensive Tactics; Arrest Techniques; Baton Techniques; Officer Liability; Firearms Handling and Qualification; and Driver Techniques.

Prerequisites for Attendance

Enrollment nominations for the ICE-D must be submitted in accordance with DHS/BTS/ICE policies. The DHS establishes its own employment standards for the Officers, and all attendees must meet the DHS recruitment standards and the FLETC’s Practical Exercise Performance Requirements for the ICE-D PRIOR TO ARRIVING FOR THE TRAINING PROGRAM.
