Fundamentals of Emergency Plans for Campuses (4-hours)

Program Focus:

This course will provide attendees with an understanding of key aspects of emergency plan development and testing.  This will include learning how to identify (and differentiate between) threats and hazards, key components of an emergency plan, continuity of operations planning, common emergency management terminology, exercise planning and execution, and other considerations for universities and colleges.  There will also be a panel discussion where attendees can ask questions of several campus public safety professionals in order to find out how issues and problems are handled at a variety of institutions.  While this course covers the basics to help institutions get started, it is also a good review for those experienced in emergency planning.
