On September 11, a U.S. Postal Service truck carrying mail from zip codes beginning with 070 to 076, 078, 079, 088 and 089 had its cargo permanently damaged in a crash. This mail was on its way to a number of state agencies, including the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission (MVC). Customers from the identified zip codes who sent mail to the MVC between September 7 and September 10 may call (888) 486-3339 for assistance if they believe there is a problem. Columbus Day
NJMVC customers are advised that all MVC services, including agencies and driver testing facilities, as well as inspection services will be closed on Monday, October 8, 2012 in recognition of Columbus Day.
