NIH Mouse Genotyping Service

The Center for Inherited Disease Research (CIDR) is an NIH-supported resource providing high throughput genotyping services for  research efforts to identify genetic elements involved in human disease. For investigators conducting genetic mapping studies in the mouse, CIDR offers the Illumina medium density SNP linkage panel for linkage scans and congenic/consomic line construction.  Custom SNP genotyping services are also available.  Data are returned directly to the investigator upon completion of the project and will remain the property of the principal investigator.

CIDR services are available through a peer review process and are free for qualifying projects.  See: grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/pa-files/PAR-08-258 for guidance about submission requirements.

CIDR is located at the Bayview Research Campus of the Johns Hopkins University and is operated by the University through a contract from the NIH.  For a more complete description of CIDR, and the services offered visit our Website at:  http://www.cidr.jhmi.edu/.
