New Web Services to accommodate PPA (Prompt Payment Act) Print

OMB is advising agencies to reduce the time for paying small businesses from 30 days to 15 days. FPDS-NG is providing a web service that finance systems could utilize in identifying these small businesses to assist them in meeting the Prompt Payment rule/act (PPA) issued by OMB.

Finance systems have the option of either validating a if a vendor on a contract is a small business or to get an extract of all the vendors matching a certain criteria through the following are Web Services FPDS-NG will be offering:

NIA - Hurricane Isaac Print

A new National Interest Action value ‘Hurricane Isaac 2012’ has been added to the FPDS-NG Production system.

For Web Portal users the value ‘Hurricane Isaac 2012’ is available for selection in the National Interest Action field drop down. The Contract Writing systems shall use the code ‘H12I’ when creating/updating documents through Business Services.

National Interest Action value ‘Hurricane Isaac 2012’ is valid from 08/30/2012 to 12/28/2012.

 
New SSL certificates installed Print

New SSL certificates have been installed on the FPDS-NG production site https://www.fpds.gov and it is valid from 04/19/2012 to 05/01/2013

 
NIA Expiration Date Extended Print

  1. National Interest Action value ‘Gulf Oil Spill 0410’ expiration date has been extended from 02/24/2012 to 08/23/2013 on FPDS-NG Production system.
    National Interest Action value ‘Gulf Oil Spill 0410’ is valid from 04/25/2010 to 08/23/2013.
  2. National Interest Action value ‘Hurricane Irene 2011’ expiration date has been extended from 02/21/2012 to 10/22/2012 on FPDS-NG Production system.
    National Interest Action value ‘Hurricane Irene 2011’’ is valid from 08/22/2011 to 10/22/2012.

 
New Interagency Contract Directory (ICD) Print

The main purpose of ICD is to help agencies take advantage of interagency contracts by supporting market research and the identification of suitable contracts that can facilitate the efficient and effective placement of orders, including with small and disadvantaged businesses. The new ICD will strengthen both of these goals by making the tool more intuitive and easier to use.

ISO - 3 Character Country Update Print

FPDS-NG is upgrading display the ISO 3-character country for Place of Performance Country (9C) and Country of Product or Service Origin (9E) data elements

FPDS-NG is upgrading so that only the 3 character ISO Country codes for the "Place of Performance Country" and "Country of Product or Service Origin" data elements will be accepted going forward. Previously we accepted non-ISO codes and converted.

Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) Print

A new National Interest Action value ‘Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF)’ has been added to track the OEF contracts.

For Web Portal users the value ‘Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF)' is available for selection in the National Interest Action field dropdown. The Contract Writing systems shall use the code ‘O12F’ when creating/updating documents through Business Services.

National Interest Action value ‘Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF)’ is valid from 10/01/2011 to 09/30/2014.
