Figure 2 is titled "Numbers (in Millions) of Lifetime Nonmedical Users of Selected Pain Relievers among Persons Aged 12 or Older: 2002 and 2003." It is a bar graph, with the following note below the graph: "Statistically significant differences (at 0.05 level) between 2002 and 2003 are denoted by "+.'" The horizontal axis of the graph represents type of pain relievers, and the vertical axis represents the number of lifetime users, in millions. There are seven categories of selected pain relievers: Any Pain Reliever; Vicodin®, Lortab®, or Lorcet®; Percocet®, Percodan®, or Tylox®; Hydrocodone; Oxycontin®; Methadone; and Tramadol. Within each drug type there is a bar for 2002 and a bar for 2003. For each pain reliever and year combination, the number of lifetime nonmedical users is as follows:

The number of lifetime users of any pain reliever was 29.6 million in 2002 and 31.2 million in 2003. This is a significant difference at the 0.05 level.
The number of lifetime users of Vicodin, Lortab, or Lorcet was 13.1 million in 2002 and 15.7 million in 2003. This is a significant difference at the 0.05 level.
The number of lifetime users of Percocet, Percodan, or Tylox was 9.7 million in 2002 and 10.8 million in 2003. This is a significant difference at the 0.05 level.
The number of lifetime users of Hydrocodone was 4.5 million in 2002 and 5.7 million in 2003. This is a significant difference at the 0.05 level.
The number of lifetime users of Oxycontin was 1.9 million in 2002 and 2.8 million in 2003. This is a significant difference at the 0.05 level.
The number of lifetime users of Methadone was 0.9 million in 2002 and 1.2 million in 2003. This is a significant difference at the 0.05 level.
The number of lifetime users of Tramadol was 0.1 million in 2002 and 0.2 million in 2003. This is a significant difference at the 0.05 level.
