Description

The Oral Cancer Foundation is a national public service, non-profit entity designed to reduce suffering and save lives through prevention, education, research, advocacy, and patient support activities. OCF is also a public service charity designed for advocacy and service, created to promote change in both the public and medical/dental professional sectors. OCF contributes to the reduction of suffering, permanent physical damage and disfigurement, and death caused by this disease through (1) public and professional awareness, (2) prevention through lifestyle changes, (3) early detection initiatives, (4) education, (5) improved treatment modalities, and (6) sponsorship of research. A FREE and anonymous patient / survivor discussion forum is open to the public, where those currently fighting oral cancer and their families can gain insights and inspiration from those who have been there before them. It is closely monitored for appropriateness of information posted there.OCF has a FREE RSS oral cancer news feed which you may subscribe to on this site, which is updated several days a week with the latest research information, and human interest stories related to the disease drawn from literally hundreds of sources. It is a valuable resource for patients, students, and practicing medical and dental professionals.
