Strengthening Capacity for Research for HIV-Associated
Malignancies in Africa
The Strengthening Capacity in Africa for Research on HIV-Associated Malignancies is an initiative supported by the National Cancer Institute (NCI) and co-funded by the Fogarty International Center that provides funding for innovative training programs designed to train African research teams in preparation for collaboration on future research projects. Funding for this program started in August 2010.
The nine research-training grants awarded will provide a variety of short-, medium-, and long-term training as well as workshops and online training opportunities that will strengthen research capacity in HIV-associated malignancies in sub-Saharan Africa.
