FLETC Cheltenham offers law enforcement agencies in the metropolitan Washington, D.C. area a secure facility to conduct in-service and advanced training. FLETC Cheltenham supports agency-specific training in a variety of special operations subject areas such as Hostage Negotiation, High-Risk Warrant Execution, Raid Planning and Execution, Explosive Ordnance Disposal, Canine Operations, Crowd Control, etc.

FLETC Cheltenham also imports training from FLETC’s main campus at Glynco, Georgia, such as the Law Enforcement Instructor Training Program (LEITP). FLETC Cheltenham will host training programs developed and presented by FLETC’s National Center for State and Local Training, and import specialists from Partner Organizations in the metropolitan Washington, D.C. area to present courses. With the Prince George’s County Fire and EMS Academy on-site, we can offer training programs that integrate real-time practical exercises and simulated responses to man-made or natural disasters.
