USCIS Adoption Contact Information

The processing and adjudication of International Adoption Petitions is one of the top priorities for USCIS. The National Benefits Center (NBC) has dedicated teams available to assist you during this process. Our call centers are staffed Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Central Time. Call 877-424-8374.  This call center supports both the Hague and Non-Hague cases. In addition, USCIS at the National Benefits Center has dedicated e-mail boxes. The addresses are noted below.

Non Hague: If you have already filed a Form I-600, Petition to Classify Orphan as an Immediate Relative and/or a Form I-600A, Application for Advance Processing of Orphan Petition, and you have an emergency need to speak with the adoption officer, please send an e-mail to NBC.adoptions@dhs.gov.

Hague: If you have already filed a Form I-800, Petition to Classify Convention Adoptee as an Immediate Relative and/or a Form I-800A, Application for Determination of Suitability to Adopt a Child from a Convention Country, and you have an emergency need to speak with the adoption officer, please send an e-mail to NBC.Hague@dhs.gov.
