The mission of 9/11 Day (formerly My Good Deed) is to transform 9/11 into an annually recognized national day of voluntary service, and give individuals and organizations the power through dynamic online networking to make a difference in the world, one good deed at a time. Created by 9/11 families and friends shortly after the terrorist attacks on America, MyGoodDeed.org seeks to honor the thousands who were killed and injured on 9/11, to pay tribute to the many who aided in the rescue and recovery efforts, and to remember and rekindle the remarkable spirit of unity that existed in our nation in the days following 9/11. MyGoodDeed.org has developed a social cause online networking website to connect people with common social interests and to encourage participation in community service around 9/11 and throughout the year.
