SEATTLE
Note: The response rate in Seattle more than doubled from 2007 to 2009 (from 44% to 92%), and the hospitals that joined DAWN in 2008 and 2009 had markedly different characteristics than those hospitals that participated in 2007. The increase in response led to improved accuracy in estimation, which was reflected in lower but better estimates of the numbers of visits for certain drug categories in 2008 and 2009 than in previous years.
