Sam Champion of "Good Morning America" was married Friday to fiance Rubem Robierb, an artist.

Sam Champion of 'GMA' marries Rubem Robierb in New York City

"Good Morning America" stalwart Sam Champion and fiance Rubem Robierb have wed in New York City, ABC News reported Friday.

In attendance at the weatherman's apartment were friends, family and Champion's "GMA" cohorts, including Robin Roberts, who reportedly read a poem during the 10-minute afternoon ceremony. Robierb's mother and sisters joined the party via Skype from Brazil, his native country.

The couple announced their engagement — and Champion quietly became the first morning show co-anchor to come out publicly as gay — in October. They met through mutual friends on New Year's Eve in Miami three years ago.

They said at the time that a wedding celebration was planned for New Year's Eve in artist Robierb's home base, which is Miami. It's still on!

"That's going to be the big party," Champion said Friday. "This is the legal moment that we wanted to celebrate with friends and family and loved ones."

Rebel Wilson will host the MTV Movie Awards on April 14, 2013.

Rebel Wilson chosen to host April's MTV Movie Awards

From the department of really fantastic decision-making: MTV has tapped actress Rebel Wilson to host their annual movie awards.

The "Bridesmaids" breakout announced her new gig — set to air live on April 14 from Los Angeles — with a promo clip that has Rebel all chained up.

Held hostage by friend and fellow funnyman Matt Lucas in the clip, which you can watch below, Wilson is chained and beaten for information, presumably pertaining to the coveted golden popcorn trophies.

In addition to the big new gig, Wilson is developing a comedy TV pilot and will hit theaters next year in Michael Bay's "Pain and Gain."

On the awards front, the Ministry's collective mind is racing thinking of the possibilities: A "Pitch Perfect"-style sing off? An appearance by her rapping alter-ego? Confronting her unhappy neighbors?

Ashton Kutcher has filed for divorce from Demi Moore, more than a year after the two split up.

Ashton Kutcher files for divorce from Demi Moore — finally

Maybe Friday really was the end of the world: Ashton Kutcher finally filed for divorce from Demi Moore, more than a year after the actress said she was ending it with her allegedly unfaithful husband.

The papers were filed in Los Angeles Superior Court, according to People, in one of our favorite celebrity moves — the discreet pre-holiday news dump. Irreconcilable differences, of course, and Ashton's not seeking spousal support nor asking that Demi be denied any, says the mag. No kids together simplifies things as well.

According to TMZ sources, Kutcher waited so long to file to give Moore a chance to file first. Apparently, he figured a year was long enough for her to save face.

"It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that I have decided to end my six-year marriage to Ashton," Moore said in a statementback in November 2011. "As a woman, a mother and a wife there are certain values and vows that I hold sacred, and it is in this spirit that I have chosen to move forward with...

Randy Travis, shown at the American Giving Awards in Pasadena earlier this month, has pleaded not guilty to simple assault.

Randy Travis pleads not guilty to assault; jury trial awaits

Randy Travis said he didn't do it — the country star on Friday pleaded not guilty to a simple assault charge stemming from an August dust-up in a church parking lot.

Travis, appearing in a Plano, Texas, courtroom, requested a jury trial in the matter. He was cited in late August after he allegedly got involved in an argument between his girlfriend and her estranged husband. A court date's been set for March 11.

Travis' attorney, Larry Friedman, tells the story a little differently than it appeared in media reports at the time. The singer, Friedman told the Dallas Morning News, intervened as a "good Samaritan" when two men were harassing the woman and her 17-year-old daughter. By the time police arrived, he said, one of the men had attacked Travis, who was defending himself.

The parking-lot incident followed a February arrest on suspicion of public intoxication and an arrest in early August that left Travis charged with driving under the influence and retaliation or obstruction,...

Kristen Stewart is still sorry, folks. In a sweeping, general, you-still-don't-own-me sort of way.

"I apologize to everyone for making them so angry," the actress told Newsweek, presumably referring to her "indiscretion" with married director Rupert Sanders back in July, which rattled her relationship with Robert Pattinson and sent shock waves through the "Twilight" fan community.

"It was not my intention."

What her intention was is not made clear in the interview, published Monday, though we assume it was something along the all-I-wanna-do-is-have-some-fun spectrum -- something not unheard of for a woman in her early 20s.

Ben Affleck on running for Senate: He didn't say 'no'

He didn't say "no."

Ben Affleck didn't say much, but he didn't say "no" when pressed by Bob Schieffer to chat about the possibility that he might run for a Senate seat in Massachusetts should Sen. John Kerry be tapped as secretary of State.

"I’m not going to get into speculation about my political future," Affleck said in an interview taped for this Sunday's "Face the Nation" on CBS. "I do have a great fondness and admiration for the political process in this country."

He said he's pretty happy working from outside government right now, advocating on behalf of Congolese civilians through his Eastern Congo Initiative and using his film "Argo" to start a conversation on the United States' relationship with Iran.

The actor appeared Wednesday on Capitol Hill to testify before the House Armed Services Committee about the situation in the Democratic Republic of Congo, a conflict Affleck termed "the deadliest ... since World War II."

As part of his testimony, he asked that the U.S. use...

LeAnn Rimes fires back after 'X Factor' drunk-duet accusations

LeAnn Rimes fired back via Twitter on Thursday after online chatter overnight and early in the day accused her of being drunk Wednesday night during a duet with 13-year-old contestant Carly Rose Sonenclar on "The X Factor."

"In my 18 years of performing, I have never been anything but professional onstage. It is a shame that gossip and lies are overshadowing the performance of Carly, a very talented young girl," Rimes wrote via TwitLonger.

"And while I have not given any media outlet a quote, if you want one, here it is: 'It was an amazing opportunity to share this experience with Carly and I know I’ll be watching for her to win tonight.'"

Whatever went down when the two performed "How Do I Live," the young Miss Sonenclar didn't seem fazed.

"That was one of the most fun moments I've had on the stage ... I had a blast," she told host Mario Lopez on Wednesday night.

"I was really comfortable. You made me very comfortable," Carly told Rimes.

So what really went on onstage? If you...

Olivia Culpo, Miss USA, takes title of Miss Universe 2012

So excited was Olivia Culpo, Miss USA, to be crowned Miss Universe 2012 on Wednesday night, she almost took off on her victory walk without that beautiful crown on her head.

Fortunately, a reassuring touch from Miss Universe 2011, Leila Lopes, was all it took to rein in the new reigning pageant queen, who then presented herself to the Las Vegas audience with all appropriate sparkle in place.

"I think that in spite of all the tragedy that has happened in this country lately, it's an honor to be able to uplift the country," Culpo said backstage, referencing the shootings in Newtown, Conn. "I really hope that this will raise everybody's spirits a little."

Hugh Dancy, 37, and Claire Danes, 33, are parents to a new baby boy.

Claire Danes and Hugh Dancy welcome a baby boy

Claire Danes may be focusing more on the home front than on "Homeland" right about now — she's just welcomed a baby boy with husband Hugh Dancy.

Cyrus Michael Christopher Dancy arrived Monday, the actress' rep told People, giving up no other details about the newborn.

Nice timing, Cyrus: The wee one arrived the day after "Homeland's" second-season finale. No headline-stealing in this family! Not to mention he's freed up Mom to wear some smashing fashions as she cruises through awards season once again.

Danes, 33, plans to keep her career on the small screen for the foreseeable future, she told Movies Now in September. Showtime has obliged, renewing the drama for a third season.

"I would like to do a movie at some point, but I've got plenty on my plate and am totally sated,” said the two-time Emmy and three-time Golden Globe award winner.

And now she's got a little bit more.

The men of "Pain and Gain": Dwayne Johnson, left, Mark Wahlberg and Anthony Mackie.

5 amazing things about Mark Wahlberg's 'Pain and Gain' trailer

In Wednesday's trailer release for Michael Bay's "Pain and Gain," we think we've found 2013's "Magic Mike."

Regrettably, stars Mark Wahlberg, Anthony Mackie and Dwayne Johnson won't be doing any choreographed routines, but after watching the clip, the Ministry can guarantee a nonstop gun, chest and abs show.

Let us give you the five most amazing moments from the trailer (watch below), which can only be described as muscle heaven.

Mark Wahlberg's million-dollar dumb play: Not since his affable-but-angry Dirk Diggler in "Boogie Nights" has Wahlberg been so likable. He knows precisely how to blend middle-class angst, hot jock charm and common criminal instinct. It's his lane, and he's flooring it.

Rebel Wilson: After a DVD marketing campaign that recast funny lady Rebel as the star of the fall's adorable "Pitch Perfect," we see another boundary broken by Hollywood's unlikely darling -- she's the chick.

While Bay gives plenty of, well, typical Michael Bay eye candy such as undulating...
