two girlsIt’s wonderful to be a teen! You’re becoming more independent each year, and are able to do new and exciting things such as driving. But with your new independence also comes greater responsibility and risks. For example, car crashes are the leading cause of death for teenagers in the United States. There are also safety hazards to be aware of online and out and about with friends. It’s important to be aware of these risks. It’s also important to know that you have the power to help keep yourself safe, whether out with friends, surfing the Internet, or even while exercising.
