Law Enforcement Adjunct Instructor Training Program (LEAITP)

The Law Enforcement Adjunct Instructor Training Program (LEAITP) is designed to meet the needs of law enforcement instructors who instruct on a part-time or occasional basis. This 40-hour program exposes participants to the concepts of student-centered learning and focuses on a variety of methodologies conducive to higher degrees of learning in law enforcement topics. The program is five days long and requires that participants give thirty-minute presentations on law enforcement related topics. Program topics include Performance Objectives, Lesson Plans, Learning Methodologies, PowerPoint Overview and Classroom Management.

Use this document to request an Export LEAITP.  It can either be faxed or emailed to TMB.  Instructions are on the form.

The requesting agency/organization is responsible for securing the training location (two classrooms required for parts of the program) and for arranging for area lodging for instructors and participants.  Instructor travel and per diem costs are billed to the requesting agency.  The requesting agency will be required to reimburse FLETC for training materials.
