RACO registration has reached its full capacity of 280 registrants and is now CLOSED. RACO 2011 sessions will be video taped and posted on the NARA YouTube channel as soon as possible after the event. A RM Communications notice will be distributed when the video is available as well as an update posted on this site.

NARA is providing this year's RACO at no cost to attendees due to the budget constraints and uncertainties that Federal agencies are facing.

What is RACO?

RACO (Records Administration Conference) is an annual one-day conference on Federal records management issues and is hosted by NARA, regularly attended by Federal records officers, records management professionals, information managers, and information technology professionals.

What is NARA?

The National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) is an independent Federal agency within the Executive Branch. NARA is responsible for safeguarding and preserving the records of our Government. NARA establishes policies and procedures for managing U.S. Government records, preserves the permanently valuable records in the National Archives of the United States, and assists Federal agencies in documenting their activities. NARA assists Federal agencies with administering records management programs, scheduling records, training staff in records management principles, and retiring noncurrent records to Federal records centers.
