The White House Initiative on Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders (WHIAAPI) will hold a Conference for all Federal employees on April 17, 2012 in Alexandria, Virginia. The theme of this conference is "Empowering AAPI Communities through Federal Service," and the agenda is focused on educating Federal employees about innovative ways to better serve communities in their current roles.
The WHIAAPI Conference for Federal Employees qualifies as training in compliance with 5 U.S.C. Chapter 41. The conference is open to all Federal employees and will provide training and workshops in areas such as Building Cultural Competency and Expanding Language, Interdisciplinary Approaches to Problem Solving, and Grant Processes and Outcomes.
