October 24th has been designated "Be Your Donor" Day.
It is an effort by Network for Good to remind fundraisers that donors are lost when they don't have a good experience at a charity's website.
We all know about "shopping cart abandonment," and we've all done it when we're shopping online. Unfortunately, "donation abandonment" is an even worse problem since there is so much at stake, and because it thwarts the good intentions of thousands of potential donors daily.
The good news is that this problem is easily cured. It simply involves some easy useability testing to find the bugs that frustrate your donors when they attempt to make a donation.
Take time on the 24th to perform that test yourself with the Network for Good "Be Your Donor" Day checklist at your side. It will guide you through the questions you should ask and the actions you should attempt.
I guarantee you'll find at least one frustration trigger that you can fix.
Why lose even one more donation when the cure is so simple? Do it now, before the biggest giving season of the year takes off. You'll be glad...I guarantee it.
Besides the checklist, you'll find lots of other articles and tips at the "Be Your Donor" Day page.
