The Whitehead Institute's web resource for the mouse, "Genetic
and Physical Maps of the Mouse Genome," contains the genetic
and physical maps of the mouse genome developed at the Whitehead
Institute Center for Genome Research. The page includes flat files
containing all the raw data used in constructing both maps; search
engines for finding markers by name, position, or polymorphism and
for looking up specific clones or contigs; browsers for examining
map images by chromosome; and a new page answering frequently-asked
questions about map construction, the YAC library, and how to obtain
reagents.
