About the HHS Grants Forecast

The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Grants Forecast provides future applicants with advanced notice of potential upcoming opportunities for HHS funding; this lead time is especially critical to our expanding potential awardees community located nationwide and worldwide. The continued development of a network of excellent, innovative, and committed awardee communities is essential to HHS continuing to meet its increasingly complex and challenging mission.
A search of the Forecast provides users with a list of programs that may provide upcoming grant funding opportunities; these programs are categorized in accordance with the Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance (CFDA). Once an opportunity has been funded and announced, it will be posted on where you can find and apply for funding.

HHS is one of the largest Federal Departments, the nation's largest health insurer, and the largest grant-making agency. HHS manages an array of grant programs in basic and applied science, public health, income support, child development, and health and social services. The HHS grant portfolio is the largest in the federal government with more than 300 grant programs operating under its annual grant budget that amounts to approximately 60% of the Federal government's grant dollars.
