Training Methodologies Branch (TMB)

Up one level Training Methodologies Branch (TMB)

The Training Methodologies Branch (TMB) is responsible for managing the Accredited Law Enforcement Instructor Training Program (LEITP), the Law Enforcement Adjunct Instructor Training Program (LEAITP), and the Accredited Law Enforcement Instructor In-Service Training Program (LEIISTP).

TMB is also responsible for managing the FLETC lesson plan digital storage drive. This digital repository contains archived lessons, current lessons, and draft versions of lessons currently in development for all divisions and all FLETC sites (Charleston SC, Artesia NM, and Cheltenham MD).

The Curriculum Development/Review Conference (CDC/CRC) Instructional Systems Design Planning Guide was developed and is maintained by TMB. This guide is used by the FLETC to assist the training divisions and partner organizations with CDC/CRCs and evaluating future training needs.

Mission

Provide dynamic, contemporary, and groundbreaking instructional training to basic and advanced law enforcement professionals from FLETC Divisions and Partner Organizations to create a life-long learning approach to instructional training. TMB provides guidance for new and experienced instructors, emphasizing the use of student-centered learning methodologies, the incorporation of emerging technologies, and the use of the Instructional Systems Design process to develop and deliver world class law enforcement training.
