Cultural & Traditional Awareness

Cultural and Traditional Awareness – Groups and activities to maintain and/or enhance cultural appreciation (i.e. moccasin making, pottery, traditional farming methods and Native cooking and sewing). Spiritual healing, traditional speakers, Sweat Lodge and Reflection Room ceremonies are available.

Moccasin making is also taught to the residents. The moccasins are worn during traditional ceremonies and range in color.

Cultural Activities include sweats in the Sweat Lodge
Miss Indian New Mexico, Raine Vicente Miss Indian New Mexico, Raine Vicente visited NSRTC to speak with residents.
