Tribal Consultation

Reaffirming the important relationship between American Indian tribes and the federal government, the Advisory Committee Consultation and Participation Policy emphasizes support and coordination of Indian Health Service activities in the California area. The policy helps to strengthen the government-to-govenment relationship for tribal governments and their health programs. The establishment of the California Area Advisory Committee formalizes this consultation process in California.
