  • George Bush Presidential Library White House Photograph Collection, 1925 - 1993
    100 images from this collection have been digitized. The photographs in the collection are arranged in chronological order in three categories: H (Historical or pre-1981); G (Vice Presidential); and P (Presidential).   These materials are held by the George Bush Library (College Station, TX).

    Search Hint: To retrieve the 100 digitized documents:

    1. Go to http://www.archives.gov/research/arc/.
    2. Press the Yellow search button to go to the Archival Descriptions Search screen.
    3. To search only for archival descriptions that have digital copies, click the Digital Copies search button at the top of the ARC pages.
    4. Select the Advanced search.
    5. Scroll down to the collection Identifier lookup filter. Press the lookup button.
    6. Enter the exact phrase {GB-WHPC} in the collection identifier keywords box.
    7. Press the Go button. The title of the Collection will display.
    8. Paste the selected collection into the advanced screen by pressing the ALL button. ARC will take you back to the Advanced Search Screen, with "GB-WHPC" now pasted in the Collection Identifier(s) box.
    9. Select the limit results radio button for 1000.
    10. Press the Go button. The result page will tell you 100 hit(s) were retrieved with filters applied.
    11. Press the Display all Hits button.
    12. When hits are returned for your search, view the full result of your hit by selecting the Title link.
      Please note: To find all photographs relating to George Bush enter those terms in the keywords box and select the digital copies filter.

  • Selected Documents from the President's Daily Diary, January 15, 1991 - February 27, 1991
    41 multi-page documents from the President's Daily Diary of President George G.W. Bush have been digitized. The majority of the digitized documents relate to Operation Desert Storm, also known as the Gulf War, which began on January 17, 1991. The President's Daily Diary was created and maintained by the White House Office of Appointments and Scheduling and provided a record of the President's daily activities, visitors, conversations, etc. These materials are held by the George Bush Library (College Station, TX).

    Search Hint: To retrieve the 41 multi-page digitized documents:

    1. Go to http://www.archives.gov/research/arc/.
    2. Press the Yellow search button to go to the Basic search screen.
    3. Enter Bush AND Appointments AND Scheduling in the Keywords box.
    4. Select the limit results radio button for 100.
    5. Select the box marked Descriptions of Archival Materials linked to digital copies.
    6. Press the Go button.
    7. When hits are returned for your search, view the full result of your hit by selecting the Title link.
