-- The DHS Advanced Acquisition Planning system was created in 2005 to respond to a Congressional request to make agency planned purchases available to the public. Over the last 6 years more than 1.2 million people have visited.  4,000 DHS employees and contractors have created 80,000 plans with anticipated funding of $232 billion. The managers and employees of DHS should be commended for their foresight and energy.
