Implementing Intelligence-Led Policing

Up one level

The Implementing Intelligence-Led Policing Training Program is a one day program specifically for chief executives and command level personnel. The course examines the historical aspects of ILP and promotes an understanding of the principles of this important law enforcement philosophy. The course closely looks at the critical elements of ILP and demonstrates how the law enforcement executive can use them to implement their own program. An examination of the organizational challenges and the creation of an internal sharing environment are discussed. The course focuses on the agency’s ability to use ILP to effectively create an external sharing environment and expounds on the laws governing privacy and civil rights. The course emphasizes the need to build community trust and how to use the community as a force multiplier in its crime fighting efforts.
