How to Host a Rural Policing Institute Training Program

The Rural Policing Institute (RPI) delivers law enforcement training programs via host agencies throughout the United States.  The RPI brings everything necessary to deliver the training program, including instructors, handouts and supplies. Host agencies provide training or classroom space and typically assist with marketing the class. If your agency has appropriate classroom or training space, we invite you to host a training program by following these simple steps:

  • Review our list of training programs and workshops.
  • If you see a program your agency would like to host, please send an email to FLETC-RuralPolicingInstitute@dhs.gov, indicating your agency’s name, point of contact, capacity of your training classroom(s), and the program(s) you are interested in hosting.
  • If you do not see a training program that would benefit your organization, but have a different training need, please send that request via email to FLETC-RuralPolicingInstitute@dhs.gov The RPI may be able to tailor a State and Local Law Enforcement Training Symposium to suit your individual agency’s needs.
