Adaptive Leadership Behavior

Up one level

In today’s complex policing environment, law enforcement leaders must be capable of working with different people, workgroups or teams in a productive manner to have more effective mission outcomes. To do this leaders must become aware of their primary behavioral style, communication dynamics and how their strengths and blind spots can affect working relationships. In this session law enforcement leaders will:

  • Understand how your behavioral style affects your leadership style
  • Understand how your behavioral style responds to problems, people, pace (environmental) and procedures
  • Recognizing and approaching other styles
  • Learning the ability to adapt to other styles
  • Building alignment with different styles
  • Creating agreements with different styles

Requires you to complete the DISC Behavioral Assessment
