Microarray Resources

NHLBI Microarray Programs and Initiatives:

NHLBI Shared Microarray Facilities (RFA HL-02-007)

This research program is to facilitate the application of microarray technology to fundamental, hypothesis-driven research in the area of cardiovascular, pulmonary, hematological, and sleep disorders. Eleven highly interactive, multi-disciplinary facilities were established to meet this goal. These facilities provide study design guidance, microarray service, analytical tools and guidance in the interpretation of expression profiling results, and applicable knowledge/skills development and education to NHLBI supported researchers.

Funded Investigators:

Dr. Winston Patterson, University of North Carolina Chapel Hill
Dr. Joseph Nevins, Duke University
Dr. Juergen Naggert, The Jackson Laboratory
Dr. Mason Freeman, Massachusetts General Hospital
Dr. Grover Bagby, Oregon Health & Science University
Gordon Tomaselli, Johns Hopkins University
Dr. Mark Geraci, University of Colorado Health Sciences Center
Dr. Stanley Nelson, University of California Los Angeles
Dr. David Erle, University of California San Francisco
Dr. M. Bento Soares, University of Iowa
Dr. Daniel Sabath, University of Washington

NHLBI Administrative Supplements for Microarray Applications and Analyses (NOT HL-02-003)

This was a one-time supplement announcement to support the application of microarray technology to ongoing NHLBI research programs. The goal was to provide the opportunity for NHLBI grantees to incorporate the use of microarray technology into their experimental plan when the proposed supplemental research falls within the original scope of the parent grant.
