Welcome to Recovery.gov version 2.0. This is the federal government Website that allows you to track the $787 billion being disbursed under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. Right from the homepage you will find a number of helpful features, such as: The ability to customize the size of text for your reading comfort, translate the content into 53 languages using Google Translate, and follow Recovery.gov on Twitter, Facebook, or MySpace. You can also report suspected fraud, waste, or abuse through the Recovery.gov Website. Under the “Opportunities” tab, information is available about applying for a Recovery contract, grant, or loan. Under the “FAQs & Resources” tab, you will find answers to most of your questions. For example, you can get links to detailed information about the various benefits and tax credits the Recovery Act provides for businesses and individuals. Throughout the Website, charts, and graphs help illustrate and explain the data. On the homepage, easy-to-follow navigation gives you direct access to Recovery spending projects in your state, or zip code. Roll your cursor over a state on the blue map to get an overview of all data reported by recipients in that state. Click on a state to drill down to an interactive data map. For information on the Territories, click on the Territories button in the bottom right-hand corner. The interactive data map in the “Where is the Money Going?” section shows Recovery projects and the details of those projects as reported by the recipients of Recovery contracts, grants, and loans. You can see the details by state, congressional district, county, or zip code, as well as the recipient reported number of jobs funded by Recovery awards. And specific details of the Recovery contract, grant, and loan awards. (Visit the video center to see a video on how to maximize use of the maps.) The Recipient Reported Data section helps focus your search on federal contracts, grants, or loans. You can also search federal agency, state, or dollar amount. Also in this section, you will find more information about individual states and territories on the “States/Territories Summaries” pages. You can also get data as reported by federal agencies that are disbursing Recovery funds. And all data can be downloaded from the Download Center. Watch helpful videos about how to use the site in the Video Center or find definitions to Recovery terms in the glossary. Recipients of Recovery awards will continue to report quarterly on how they’re using the funds and Recovery.gov will display all that data in charts and graphs and on the maps. 1 | Page
