Improving Women's Health Policy

To advance the NWHN’s mission, vision and goals we conduct advocacy campaigns that influence federal and state policy, health care providers and health-related companies, like drug and medical device makers and insurance providers.  We monitor health research and regulatory agencies, practices in health care and health industry trends; we identify and expose abuses; and we catalyze grassroots action for change.

The NWHN’s current advocacy campaigns are Securing Sexual & Reproductive Health and Autonomy, which supports women’s access to comprehensive reproductive health technologies, services and information; Raising Women’s Voices for the Health Care We Need, which ensures that women’s voices are heard and women’s concerns are addressed in health reform; and Challenging Dangerous Drugs and Devices, which protects women from health risks caused by unsafe drugs, devices and medical treatments.
