Health Tip: Pack a Healthy, Easy Lunch
(HealthDay News) -- A quick, healthy lunch can be easy to make, delicious, and satisfying -- and it can keep you out of the fast-food drive through.
The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics offers these quick and healthy lunch ideas:
- Combine some whole wheat couscous with black beans or chick peas for protein.
- Make a whole wheat tortilla wrap stuffed with skinless grilled chicken breast and veggies -- use mushrooms, tomatoes and onions.
- Make a baked potato and top it with salsa, broccoli, low-fat sour cream and a little low-fat cheese.
- Toss a spinach salad with some low-fat feta cheese, chopped red onions and pears.
