Usage Tips

This search tool lets you locate all tables/figures/charts published in the inventory of NCES' National Education Data Resource Center (NEDRC) Postsecondary Tables Library; the Condition of Education; the Digest of Education Statistics; Indicators of School Crime and Safety and other NCES publications. Tables are constantly being added (thousands of tables, graphs & figures are now available). State tables can be created by visiting State Education Data Profiles.

• Enter a word or phrase to search for tables/figures. Searches are conducted on the actual textual information provided in the tables and figures.
  
• Further refine your search by selecting a topic area and the year(s) you are interested in. By holding down the control key you can search for multiple years. After finalizing your criteria, click on the Search Now button for your results.
  

Popular Keywords are also available to help with your search. By selecting a phrase you will get results from all the topic areas and years for the selected term.

The Results Page will list your selection criteria, a count of matches, and descriptive information for each table/figure matching your criteria including: Title, Topic Area, Survey Source, and Year of Data. View the Figure/Table by clicking on the "View Table/Figure" link. The results are presented in alphabetical order but can be resorted.
