African American Federal Executive Association Training Workshop

The African American Federal Executive Association (AAFEA) will hold its 8th Annual Training Workshop from April 30–May 2, 2012 in Newport News, Virginia.  The theme of this conference is “Public Service – The Call to Excellence,” and the agenda is focused on achieving success in leadership. This conference is intended for government and military personnel.

The AAFEA Training Workshop qualifies as training in compliance with 5 U.S.C. Chapter 41. This event is open to all Federal employees and will feature workshops and presentations in areas such as Mentoring, Public Relations, Keys for Personal Success, and Developing Executive Core Qualifications (ECQs). The conference will also feature guest speakers who hold various Senior Executive Service (SES) roles within the Federal government.

When deciding to participate in the Training Workshop, Federal employees are invited to review additional information regarding registration, costs, and agendas at the following website: http://www.aafea.org/workshop.html.

Agencies are reminded that reporting of training is governed by 5 CFR 410.601.
