ATV Safety Summit
Working together to keep families safe on ATVs

The U .S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) is inviting affected stakeholders and other interested persons to attend a free, 2-day public ATV Safety Summit, titled, "Working together to keep families safe on ATVs." The goal of this ATV Safety Summit is two-fold. We are interested both in receiving new comments related to outstanding issues from the 2006 notice of proposed rulemaking and in bringing together stakeholders, including manufacturers, consumer advocates, academic researchers, and others, in an environment that fosters mutual respect, finding areas of common ground, and encourages the sharing of information. We hope that by sharing lessons learned regarding public awareness, information/education, training, and technology, each group can take away something that will help everyone promote ATV safety. In addition, we want to encourage stakeholders to work together to develop solutions to ATV issues apart from any effort by the CPSC. Interested parties are invited to present comments, views, and questions.
