The Neighborhood Safety Network (NSN) plays a vital role in disseminating timely safety information to families who may have otherwise have been unaware of various dangers in and around their home. As the Chairman of the Consumer Product Safety Commission, I am committed to helping create a safer environment for consumers and children. This is especially true for the underserved families who all of you touch within your communities.

Education and advocacy is at the center of my priorities as Chairman, which means strengthening partnerships with community leaders like you. CPSC will explore new ways to include you in our national and grassroots education campaigns, provide fresh content for your use on the NSN Tool Kit (www.cpsc.gov/nsn/nsn.html), and make NSN a platform for informing fellow members about innovative and effective injury prevention campaigns.
