Web-Based Training (WBT)

Medicare Learning Network=

The Medicare Learning Network® (MLN) Products Web-Based Training (WBT) courses are designed for self-paced training via the Internet. These WBT courses provide information on a broad range of Medicare Fee-For-Service topics for health care professionals and their staff. Many of these courses offer continuing education credits.

These WBTs were prepared as a public service and are not intended to grant rights or impose obligations. The courses may contain references or links to statutes, regulations, or other policy materials. The information provided is only intended to be a general summary. It is not intended to take the place of either the written law or regulations. We encourage readers to review the specific statutes, regulations, and other interpretive materials for a full and accurate statement of their contents. To view the list of courses and their descriptions, go to "Related Links" and select the "Web-Based Training (WBT) Courses."

Many professional associations offer continuing education credit for successful completion of CMS’ MLN courses that can be used towards keeping a license or certification current.

If the association you belong to is not on the “Association Approvals for WBT Credits” list,(see Related Links) you may contact your association to see if they are interested in partnering with the MLN or if they accept outside credit sources. If they are interested in partnering with the MLN, the association should E-mail CE_Issues@cms.hhs.gov.

Upon successful completion on an MLN course, the certificate you will receive will not reflect your association’s credit type.

For more information about these associations and their policies, go to “Related Links” and select the “Association Approvals for WBT Credits".

If you would like to contact the MLN, please E-mail us at MLN@cms.hhs.gov.
