Bureau of Primary Health Care

HRSA’s Bureau of Primary Health Care (BPHC) funds and supports health centers that serve the primary health care needs of 20 million patients in over 8,500 locations across the United States. The health centers provide access to comprehensive primary and preventive health care for people who are low-income, uninsured, or living where health care is scarce. Health centers offer HIV testing as well as care and treatment for those diagnosed with HIV. Health centers see patients without regard for their ability to pay.
