Notice of Contract Award for the Management and
Operation of Private Correctional Institutions |
|
The Federal Bureau of Prisons has awarded two
contracts for the management and operation of contractor owned and operated
secure correctional institutions for low security non-U.S. citizen criminal
alien inmates. The contracts have been awarded to Corrections Corporation of
America, for performance in the City of California, California (Contract
J1Pc-006), and Milan, New Mexico (Contract J1Pc-007).
The potential term of each contract is 10
years encompassing a three year base period and seven one-year options. The
contract prices for the 10 year period are: City of California, California,
$529,130,376.15; and Milan, New Mexico, $230,766,743.51.
The Request for Proposal (PCC-0005) was
issued in September 1999.
