Notice of Contract Award for the Management and Operation of Private Correctional Institutions

The Federal Bureau of Prisons has awarded two contracts for the management and operation of contractor owned and operated secure correctional institutions for low security non-U.S. citizen criminal alien inmates. The contracts have been awarded to Corrections Corporation of America, for performance in the City of California, California (Contract J1Pc-006), and Milan, New Mexico (Contract J1Pc-007).

The potential term of each contract is 10 years encompassing a three year base period and seven one-year options. The contract prices for the 10 year period are: City of California, California, $529,130,376.15; and Milan, New Mexico, $230,766,743.51.

The Request for Proposal (PCC-0005) was issued in September 1999.
