The Labeling and Program Delivery Division (LPDD) develops policies and inspection methods and administers programs to protect consumers from misbranded and economically adulterated meat, poultry, and egg products.

Labeling Procedures
Collection of guidance information on label procedures with regards to label applications, types of approval, common labeling questions and answers and information on the responsibilities of FSIS and the establishments regarding label approvals.

Labeling Policies
Guidance information such as the label policy book, policy memos, nutrition labeling and other resource material regarding meat, poultry, and egg product labeling policies.

Claims
Information regarding guidelines on acceptable claims in product labeling.

Organic Meat & Poultry Labeling Claims
Information regarding organic meat and poultry products labeling.

Ingredients
Collection of information and guidance in regards to safe and suitable ingredients used in the production of meat and poultry products.

Nonfood Compounds
Collection of guidance and criteria in dealing with nonfood compounds.

Packaging Materials
Information about various types and uses of meat packaging materials and how their safety is regulated by government agencies.

Proprietary Substances
Collection of guidance information pertaining to poultry scald agents, tripe denuding and other proprietary substances.
