The Market Manager application operates on three different scales: national, state, and greater metro area. The goal across all scales is to classify units (states, counties, or ZIP-codes) into four regions (groups of contiguous units) based on a selected attribute. The children will learn the concept of contiguous and non-contiguous regions, different scales at which a geographical phenomenon can be displayed, and the statistical concepts of average and sum.
