First Public Meeting on the Proposed Reorganization of the National Human Genome Research Institute

The National Human Genome Research Institute (NHGRI) is proposing an internal reorganization, and in accord with the Public Health Service Act as amended by the National Institutes of Health Reform Act of 2006 (42 USC sec. 281(d)(4)), the institute is holding public meetings to receive comments from interested individuals. The first meeting was held on the Internet as a webinar. A second meeting will be held during the regularly scheduled meeting of the National Advisory Council for Human Genome Research, NHGRI's advisory council.

The Webinar Meeting took place on Wed., January 18, 2012, at 2:30 p.m. Eastern

The teleconference allowed participants to hear the presentation for free on a telephone. In addition, during the meeting, listeners were able to ask questions during a moderated portion of the event.

Anyone wishing to comment on the proposed NHGRI reorganization is encouraged to submit remarks in writing to NHGRIcomments@nih.gov. Attachments will be accepted.
