Internships

Our Summer Intern Program is designed to help students bridge the gap between academic achievements and the first experience in a corporate office environment. Opportunities allow students to gain valuable experience in a wide variety of fields, to include business and engineering.

The program introduces students introduced to the challenging world of energy regulation. It provides opportunity to serve the public by protecting consumers and the environment, and promoting fair and competitive energy markets that benefit the entire nation. The dynamic nature of the energy industry presents continued opportunities for interesting projects that will keep interns engaged throughout the summer.

Living and working in the Nation's Capital can be a great adventure! Touring the monuments alone would keep interns busy all summer without having to spend a dime! There are outdoor concerts, activities on the Mall, shopping in various venues, restaurants for all tastes and price ranges, live theatre, food festivals, parades, boating, hiking, and art galleries. Nothing beats the view of Independence Day fireworks over the Washington Monument.

A full schedule of activities and opportunities for summer interns to network with their peers and FERC professionals is planned throughout the summer. One of the goals of the program is to have interns look back and always remember Washington, D.C. as a great place to live, work and play.
