U.S. Assistant Secretary for Vocational and Adult Education Brenda Dann-Messier will travel to Omaha, Neb., Thursday, Oct. 11 to discuss education and the economy during visits to Millard Horizon High School and Metropolitan Community College.

During the visits, Dann-Messier will meet with students, parents, and career academy faculty to discuss their best practices for implementing rigorous career and technical education and linking secondary and postsecondary education.

Dann-Messier leads the U.S. Department of Education's efforts in adult education and career and technical education, as well as efforts supporting community colleges and correctional education through the Office of Vocational and Adult Education (OVAE).
