In addition to the rights and protections for all people with Medicare, you have the right to:
- See any doctor or specialist (including women's health specialists), or go to any Medicare-certified hospital, that participates in Medicare.
- Buy Medicare Supplement Insurance (Medigap policy).
If you have Original Medicare and your provider or supplier thinks Medicare probably won’t pay for items or services, he or she may give you a written notice called an "Advance Beneficiary Notice of Noncoverage" (ABN).
