Up one level The Training Research Branch (TRB)

The Training Research Branch (TRB) is responsible for several important functions.  One of these is exploring and evaluating new and emerging training methodologies and technologies for their effectiveness.  The TRB analyzes and validates current training effectiveness through research and examines innovative approaches that optimize the amount of time required for training.  One area TRB is currently studying is the effects of stressful encounters on tactical decision making and how student training might be enhanced to improve performance.

Mission

Explore, research, and analyze current and emerging training methodologies and technologies in order to improve individual and group performance through state-of-the-art law enforcement training.
